Jenn Boblitt Dressage regularly goes to USDF recognized shows, Regionals, and US Dressage Finals. Jenn has trained and shown several horses from training level to Grand Prix. And coached students to Grand Prix as well. She has lots of experience choreographing freestyles and has successfully competed with her own freestyles from 2nd level to I-1. She has helped her clients with their freestyles as well. Our freestyles have made it to US Finals several times!
Jenn has been riding since age 11, she started out jumping but turned to dressage a few years later because she liked the challenges offered by the meticulous tests. She started learning dressage at age 13 with her first horse, Katrina, a Hanoverian cross. At age 16, she got her second horse, Kayla, a 4-year-old Havoverian/Thoroughbred cross and began training her up the levels. Jenn trained and showed Kayla up to 3rd level herself. After 10 years, she realized Kayla wasn’t going to advance any higher and began her search for her next prospect. A year later, she bought Aragon, a 3-year-old Canadian warmblood who was barely under saddle. Jenn trained Aragon up the levels and he was schooling the Grand Prix when she realized he wasn't going to hold up at that level. She is very proud of earning her USDF (United States Dressage Federation) silver medal and two scores at I-1 towards her gold medal on a horse she trained herself. In 2015, she purchased her next prospect, Confetti, and is looking forward to taking her up the levels. In 2019, Fetti competed at I-1 with scores up to 68%. In 2021 Fetti debuted at Grand Prix and we got one score at GP towards my Gold medal. After a mild injury in 2022, we went back to work and in 2023 she earned my last score towards my Gold medal!!!
Jenn graduated from Otterbein College in 2002 with an equine facility management degree and is also a veterinary technician. While at Otterbein, she was on the dressage equestrian team. She has been giving lessons and riding horses professionally since 2000. After college, she was a rider for the Abigail House equestrian center in New Albany, OH. In 2006, she moved to Bedford, MA, to be the assistant manager for Eleazer Davis Farm where she also taught lessons. She moved to Destin, FL, in 2008 to manage Southern Cross Equestrian Center and train under Jodie Kelly. While at Jodie Kelly Dressage, she managed the barn, trained horses, and gave lessons. Under Jodie’s tutelage, she fine-tuned her training technique and rode horses of all levels. She also started up a lesson program for kids. In 2011, she and her husband decided to move to the Louisville, Kentucky area to be closer to their families. Jenn is currently leasing Alta Vista farm in Goshen, KY.
Jenn has trained with several trainers over the years including Kasey Perry-Glass, Lilo Fore, Alex Gerding, Melissa Allen, Jennifer Conour, Jodie Kelly, Shannon Dueck, and Gintara Slavinskas. She has worked for years at establishing her training style and enjoys the challenge of helping horses and riders perfect their dressage.
